Worship
at The Cathedral
The
mission of the people of the Cathedral is to love, know and serve
God as a community that: Gathers in joyful worship . . .
The Cathedral holds several regularly
scheduled worship services on Sunday and during the week, and is also
the site for many special Cathedral and Diocesan services. Some services
are held in the church and some in the Peace Chapel which is located
in the Undercroft (the stairs at the back of the church lead to the
Peace Chapel). The current schedule of regular weekly services and
a brief description of each is as follows.

of the Eucharist with a homily (no music).

A festive celebration
with hymns, choir and homily.

First Sunday of the Month

Igbo Anglican Communion
|
On the first Sunday of each month, Nigerians living in the greater Baltimore region hold a Eucharist in Igbo at the Cathedral.

Tuesdays 12:00PM
|
Holy Eucharist
|
This service
is held in the Peace Chapel and includes hymns and a brief homily.

Wednesdays 8:00AM
|
Holy Eucharist
|
This service
is held in the Peace Chapel and is a quiet service usually with
the Bishop of Maryland as Celebrant.

Thursdays 6:00PM
|
Holy Eucharist
with prayers for peace and reconcilliation (Taizé)
|
This service
is held in the Peace Chapel and uses simple chants and prayers
inspired by the Taizé community in France. The service
is followed by an optional supper which participants take turns
preparing.
